Metro Volunteers and the Hispanic Chamber Foundation seek to recruit and train individuals from the members of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Aspiring Leadership program as potential Board members for non-profit agencies in our community.

INTRODUCTION TO BOARD SERVICE

For prospective or new board members, with little or no board experience, Metro Volunteers Board Leadership Program will train you to serve as a board member.

They will also help you to effectively choose a board that is the right fit for your interests. For those with previous board service, this program can help you expand your capacity to govern effectively.

A collaborative between The Hispanic Chamber and Metro Volunteers, geared towards expanding your capacity to govern effectively. 

  • Non-Profit TrainingThis course has been created to help steer the organization’s board members in a positive direction, so that great work can be accomplished! Learn the overall nominating process, Board roles, duties and expectations.
  • Candidate Training – This course will inform you what it takes to serve as a board member and identify a board that is the right fit for your interest and skills.
  • Board Match Event – Enjoy a happy hour event as you mingle with nonprofits looking for board members & skilled volunteers.
